After taking your relationship assessments, your therapist will review the feedback with you regarding both strengths and vulnerabilities in your relationship.
Generally speaking, you’ll spend between 8-16 sessions with your premarital counselor to discuss any issues to best prepare you for a happy marriage.
Some couples may do weekly hour-long sessions for a number of weeks weeks. Others may do intensive longer sessions over a shorter period of time. The longer sessions are highly recommended for couples wanting to jumpstart their relationship with faster results.

If you’re getting married by a religious figure, they may handle your premarital counseling. If your officiant doesn’t also do premarital counseling, you can choose to work with a relationship expert that fits your needs.
